Ryan: it's really amazing. :) I haven't noticed that you are from Halifax. Actually, if we are talking about hockey, it wasn't easy game yesterday vs Canada :) but Latvian hockey fans never looses hope. I think it is very interesting for you to see best hockey fans in the world :)

Just wanted to mention that I've been thinking about your blog since there are over 1000 Latvians here making alot of noise as they cheer on their hockey team. ;) It's funny because the local news here is almost more friendly to the Latvia team than they are to Canada (who recently beat them).

Halifax is loving the Latvian hockey fans. :)

Another major thing to hear about is the «Learning 2.0» program put on by Helene Blowers. We are just wrapping one up ourselves here at Halifax Public: http://hpllearning.blogspot.com. For beginners the Learning 2.0 blogs are more accessible.

Ryan: I think I am not the only one from Latvia who is reading your blog. But Latvian librarians are new to this theme (Library 2.0 subject and changing world of libraries) so I gave them the list of blogs what I am reading, also yours. As well as you have problems with understanding Latvian language, there are lot of people who have problems with English reading and understanding.

For online translating you can try http://www.trident.com.ua/eng/online.html - you can copy Latvian text to «Original text» textbox, choose to translate to English, and here you go. Maybe it will be easier to understand meaning than translating word-by-word :)
